Jeff our skillful maintenance man and gardener has finished our themed ‘hobbit garden’! The residents are very pleased that they can view it from the conservatory. Make sure you take a look next time you’re visiting. Thanks Jeff! 🙂

This week at Brunswick House residents have had a very busy week! Firstly we had a feathery visitor! Ghost the owl went round and did room visits with our activities co-ordinator, Farook. Patricia and Simone are pictured here with Ghost.

Please welcome to Brunswick House Nursing Home our new feathery friends! Chickens Daisy (left), Patsy (middle) and Millie (right), joined us a couple of weeks ago in our brand new chicken run outside the conservatory and were named by our residents. Last week they gained some new friends the three rescue chickens (above) who are still nameless, so please let us know any suggestions you may have!

For the last few months we have been working hard on revamping our website. You are now looking at the finished product!

We have filled the site with plenty of information about each home, a great News & Events page which we will use to update friends and relatives on the weekly goings-on at each home and lots of lovely new photos of our residents, staff and homes.

In addition, we are able to accept job applications via the site so please have a browse if you are interested in working for us and don’t hesitate to fill out the form.

With summer just around the corner and the sunshine beginning to make regular appearances, there are lots of fun activities going on at many of the Buckland Care homes.

Woodland Court residents have been delighted with their weekly ice cream van which comes around on a Friday to give out ice creams and lollies for everyone to enjoy in the sun.

Over at Kingland House, residents have taken every sunny opportunity to take a stroll around the lake in neighbouring Poole Park, stopping for a coffee and to admire the lake wildlife.

Merry Hall has just extended its dining room to include a lovely bright and airy conservatory – finishing just in time for summer!

At Willow Bank, our residents have their Spring Fête to look forward to on the 21st May – please come along and join in the fun!
