Buckland Care is a dynamic, family-run group of 12 nursing and residential care homes based across the South of England from the Isle of Wight up to Worcester.
This position is a new position being introduced by Buckland Care in order to go the extra mile in their Quality Assurance. The candidate will be both a support and manager to the 4 Area Managers of the group and will need to visit the 12 services on a regular basis.
The candidate will work closely with Directors and Area Managers to improve the systems in place and further develop Quality Assurance and Compliance systems with their own innovative ideas. They will also be expected to focus on homes with compliance problems, acting as Troubleshooter and prioritising their time according to the needs of the Company. They will not only identify the issues but also support the Area Manager and Manager in addressing the issues.
Our homes are split into 3 main areas, each containing 4 homes. All applicants must be happy to drive to and stay overnight in one of the areas 2 nights per week. The remainder of their week they will work from home or their nearest care home. Ideal locations are Dorset, Hampshire or Wiltshire. Holiday allowance is 25 days plus bank holidays.
The ideal candidate will have an Area Manager or Quality Assurance background and will preferably have previously been a Registered Manager to a residential care home service, achieving Good or Outstanding CQC reports. Previous experience in being a Nominated Individual is also beneficial.
This position would suit someone who is looking to make a big impact in a medium sized company and work directly with Directors to drive the company forward. As we are a private company with no shareholders to appease, we can be flexible and implement changes quickly and efficiently.
