The Orchards Care Home in Wroughton has received a Good rating from the Care Quality Commission in all areas.
This comes as welcome news to the care home which previously held an overall ‘Good’ rating but a ‘Requires Improvement’ in the ‘Safe’ category, following an inspection in September 2019.
The manager, Julie Beale, is thrilled with the inspection report and said, “I am so proud of the whole team. The whole care industry has had a very tough 2 years and the Orchards team have been nothing short of brilliant to improve standards during these challenging times.”
A resident said to inspectors, “I feel safe, they look after me well. If there is something I am not happy about, I tell them.”
A relative of a resident said, “The Orchards is very well managed. It has a friendly culture and meals, activities, personal care etc are all run efficiently so that residents feel part of a community.”
The report was published on 26th April this year after an unannounced inspection at the end of March which focused on the areas of ‘Safe’ and ‘Well Led’. The Orchards is one of a group of 11 care homes in the Buckland Care group.
