West Bank Residential Home and St Joseph’s Nursery School Celebrate Intergenerational Storytelling with ‘Once Upon a Time Story Time

West Bank Care Home, in a heartfelt collaboration with St Joseph’s Nursery School, has recently hosted a delightful storytelling event, ‘Once Upon a Time Story Time’, that brought together the young and the young-at-heart for a day of shared tales and joyous interaction.

Residents of West Bank in Ross- on-Wye were treated to the eager company of young learners from St Joseph’s Nursery School. The children, full of curiosity and wonder, sat with the residents, listening intently as they were regaled with the timeless adventures of Peter Rabbit, a beloved character that stands out in the residents’ own childhood memories.

The event took a spellbinding turn when Peter Rabbit himself leapt out of the storybooks and into the room, to the sheer delight of everyone present. His appearance brought an extra layer of excitement to the day as he joined in for a singalong, bonding over song and the sharing of cheeky biscuits, creating a merry atmosphere that resonated with laughter and joy.

This special day was not just about revisiting childhood classics; it was a vibrant celebration of intergenerational bonding, showcasing the enduring magic of storytelling that has bridged generations, and fostering connections that underscore the universal charm of shared stories.
