Residents, families, friends and staff at Woodland Court Residential Home came together over coffee and cake to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The home hosted its own Macmillan Coffee Morning, with members of the Woodland Court community generously donating cakes, money and their time to help make the event a success.
The morning was filled with plenty of conversation, laughter and, of course, cake, as residents enjoyed spending time with family members, friends and staff while supporting a cause that means so much to so many people.
Sammy, Home Manager at Woodland Court, said: “We were absolutely blown away by the support we received.
“People donated cakes, gave their time and made generous donations, and it was wonderful to see everyone coming together for such an important cause.
“There’s a real sense of family here at Woodland Court, and mornings like this really show that. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make the morning such a success and supported Macmillan Cancer Support.”
Macmillan’s Coffee Morning is one of the charity’s biggest annual fundraising events, encouraging people across the UK to get together over a cuppa and raise money to support people living with cancer.
Woodland Court, part of Buckland Care, regularly holds events and activities that bring residents, families and the wider community together.
