A Magical Visit to Exeter Cathedral for The Firs Residents

This afternoon, residents from The Firs Care Home had the pleasure of making another heartfelt wish come true with a special trip to the magnificent Exeter Cathedral. Sheila, a former member of the cathedral’s congregation, was overjoyed to revisit this beloved place and reconnect with some familiar faces.
Upon arrival, Sheila received a warm welcome that brought back cherished memories, as she enjoyed a delightful catch-up with old friends. Joined by fellow resident Betty, the pair wandered through the breathtaking cathedral, taking in its stunning architecture and marveling at the intricate stained glass windows.
Sheila described the experience as unforgettable, saying:
“It has been a truly wonderful afternoon. I’m so very grateful.”
Nikki, Manager at The Firs Care Home, shared her thoughts on the day:
“Creating moments like this is what we’re all about at The Firs. Seeing Sheila light up as she reconnected with her past was so special, and it reminds us why making wishes come true is such an important part of what we do.”
At The Firs, we believe in celebrating every resident’s unique story and creating opportunities to make their dreams a reality. Here’s to many more wishes coming true!
