Residents and team members at Hartwell Lodge set sail this week for a very special adventure – without ever leaving the lounge. The care home was transformed into a glamorous cruise liner for a themed activity day brimming with music, dancing, and cocktails.

The journey began with colourful drinks and plenty of laughter before residents tried their luck at “cruise bingo.” A highlight of the afternoon was a performance from a talented jazz lounge singer, whose smooth vocals created a holiday atmosphere and had many clapping, swaying, and even stepping onto the dance floor.

From palm-fringed décor to upbeat entertainment, the atmosphere was electric. Residents said they felt as though they’d been whisked away to a floating paradise, enjoying all the fun of a luxury cruise right here at home.
