At The Firs Care Home, every day is a journey filled with moments of joy, learning, and connection. Recently, our residents were treated to an extraordinary experience that left hearts soaring and minds buzzing with excitement.

One particular gentleman who lives with us called Dave, holds a special place in our hearts for his unwavering passion for planes. As Chris from the RAF unveiled a stunning array of photographs showcasing different types of aircraft, Dave’s eyes sparkled with delight. It was an absolute treat for him to delve into the rich history behind each plane and to witness the evolution of aviation through the ages.

“It’s been absolutely wonderful,” Dave exclaimed, his smile lighting up the room. “I’ve enjoyed every second!”

Indeed, it was a fabulous afternoon enjoyed by all. From the youngest at heart to the wisest among us, Chris’s presentation reminded us that every day is a school day, filled with opportunities for growth and discovery.
