Local Inspector Visits The Firs for a Friendly Q&A – No Arrests Made!

Residents and staff at The Firs Care Home in Budleigh Salterton were delighted to welcome Inspector Matt Helm earlier today for an informal meet and greet.

The visit was a chance for Inspector Helm to introduce himself, provide some reassurance, and answer questions about policing in the local area. The Firs’ residents didn’t hold back – putting the Inspector through his paces with a full round of questions covering everything from local crime to community safety.

Happily, no arrests were made, and no further action was required – just plenty of smiles and a few laughs along the way.

Home Manager Nikki said:
“It was such a lovely visit. The residents had lots of thoughtful – and cheeky – questions, and Inspector Helm was brilliant with them all. It’s so important that our residents still feel connected to their community, and today’s chat really helped with that.”

The team at The Firs shared how much they appreciated the opportunity to connect with their local policing team and learn more about the work they do to keep the community safe.
