People Partner (Part-Time, Flexible) – Mainly remote (South/South West preferred)

Buckland Care is looking for a friendly, experienced People Partner to join our team and provide practical, proactive HR support to our care homes and leadership teams.

This is a standalone HR role, meaning you’ll be the only dedicated HR professional within the company. You’ll work independently while liaising with our insurer’s employment law team for guidance and support on employment law matters.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and making a real difference to workplace culture. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your own workload, with flexibility around hours and working pattern, and occasional visits to our homes when needed.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE: 

  • Act as the first point of contact for all HR matters across the business
  • Advise managers on employee relations, performance, absence, and wellbeing
  • Liaise with our insurer’s employment law team for expert guidance
  • Support managers in fostering positive, engaged teams
  • Ensure policies are fair, consistent, and up to date
  • Use insights to improve staff experience, retention, and culture

ABOUT YOU: 

  • 8+ years’ HR experience (People Partner/HRBP level)
  • CIPD Level 5+ (Level 7 desirable)
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law
  • Approachable, proactive, and people-focused
  • Experience in care or healthcare preferred
