Residents, families, staff, and friends of Westbank came together for a fabulous Garden Fayre – and despite a surprise summer downpour, the smiles never left our faces!
From the moment the gates opened, the garden was filled with the sound of laughter, music, and cheerful chatter. Live music from the brilliant Aldante set the tone, creating a relaxed and joyful atmosphere as guests explored the stalls and enjoyed everything on offer.
Food was a firm favourite, with mouth-watering pork, stuffing and apple sauce rolls served alongside fresh salads. Homemade scones and gateaux added a sweet touch, and no one went home hungry!
There was plenty of fun and games too – our Human Fruit Machine had everyone giggling, and both the tombola and raffle were packed with fantastic prizes. The photography competition drew a brilliant number of entries, making it a real challenge to choose the winners.
In true British fashion, we were treated to a brief but dramatic downpour – but umbrellas went up, coats came out, and before long the sun returned and so did the celebrations!
More than anything, it was the people who made the day. The sense of community, the warmth, the laughter, and the shared moments between generations – it was everything Westbank is about.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped, supported, donated, turned up and cheered us on. Whether you served teas, bought raffle tickets, or simply came along with a smile – you made the day one to remember.
Here’s to next year’s Garden Fayre already!
