The Firs Care Home was full of sunshine, music, and community spirit as residents, families, and friends came together for the home’s annual Summer Fête.

The afternoon was a huge success, with guests enjoying delicious BBQ bites, refreshing ice creams, and a fantastic live performance from the East Devon Daytime Band, whose upbeat tunes brought plenty of cheer to the garden.

A special highlight of the day was the return of RNLI Exmouth Fundraising and Shop, who brought along a brilliant range of gifts and merchandise. Residents and guests were especially thrilled to meet the ever-popular Stormy Stan, the RNLI’s mascot, who was greeted with smiles, hugs, and lots of photo opportunities.
The event offered a chance for families and loved ones to spend quality time together in a relaxed and joyful setting. There was a true sense of celebration throughout the afternoon, with laughter echoing through the home and garden.

Nikki, the home manager said:
“We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces coming together to enjoy the sunshine and support our residents. A huge thank you goes to our wonderful staff, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring everything together.”
