The gentlemen of The Firs Care Home in Budleigh Salterton enjoyed a splendid outing to the Classic Car and Motorbike Show in Exmouth this past weekend. The event brought back fond memories and sparked new joy among our residents, particularly for Dave, who has a rich history with classic cars.
Dave, a lifelong enthusiast of vintage automobiles, spent his younger years restoring and owning a variety of classic cars. The show was a nostalgic journey for him, especially when he spotted a Ford Classic—one of the gems he used to own. His eyes lit up as he shared stories of his adventures with the other residents and staff.
“Our gents had a wonderful time reliving their youth and sharing their passion for classic vehicles,” said Nikki, Manager at The Firs Care Home. “It was heartwarming to see Dave reconnect with a piece of his past. Beep, beep indeed!”
The event featured an impressive array of vintage cars and motorbikes, providing a visual feast and sparking lively conversations among our residents. The day was filled with laughter, storytelling, and a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship of a bygone era.
