Woodland Court Care Home has proudly chosen to support the local cub group in recognition of the joy and kindness they’ve brought to our residents. The cubs have become familiar faces at Woodland Court, regularly visiting to sing carols at Christmas and popping in for heartwarming chats that brighten the day for everyone.
In a small ceremony at the home, Lisa Maguire, the newly appointed cub leader, visited Woodland Court along with two cub members to receive the donation. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude, saying, “This generous support means the world to us. We’ll be sure to let you know how the funds are spent, and we can’t wait to bring more smiles to Woodland Court residents, especially as we look forward to our annual Christmas visit.”
The cub group has already planned to work with Woodland Court’s activities coordinator to organise their next visit, where they hope to spread more festive cheer with a special carol performance and a possible Christmas show.
Woodland Court’s Manager, shared, “We’re thrilled to give back to the cub group, who have given so much to our residents. Their visits truly lift spirits, and we’re excited to continue this meaningful partnership.”
This donation marks the start of an ongoing relationship between Woodland Court and the cub group, ensuring the spirit of community and care continues to thrive.
