There were plenty of smiles — and a few happy tears — at Woodland Court Residential Home this month, as much-loved resident dog Pippa gave birth to eight healthy puppies on 15 January.
Pippa, who has become a firm favourite with residents and team members alike, has been cared for at Woodland Court throughout her pregnancy. True to her gentle nature, she has taken to motherhood beautifully, with both mum and pups doing exceptionally well.
Residents have loved being part of the journey, from sharing quiet moments with Pippa to checking in on the puppies’ progress. The arrival of the litter has brought a real sense of warmth and togetherness to the home, with plenty of excitement and conversation sparked by the newest (and tiniest) additions.
Animals play an important role in life at Woodland Court, offering comfort, companionship, and moments of pure joy. Pippa’s time at the home has highlighted just how caring and affectionate she is — qualities now clearly passed on to her puppies.
The team at Woodland Court will continue to care for Pippa and her pups and will be sharing updates on their progress over the coming weeks.
