Residents and team members at The Orchards Residential Home have been busy getting creative as they prepare to take part in the Wroughton Scarecrow Trail.
The home, based in Wroughton, has been filled with laughter, teamwork and a fair bit of straw as residents and staff worked together on their scarecrow creation. The home’s housekeepers also joined in the fun, posing for photos with the finished display.
The much-loved community trail brings people together to enjoy a walk around the village, spot the different scarecrows and celebrate the creativity of local families, groups and businesses.
For residents at The Orchards, taking part has been a lovely way to feel involved in village life and enjoy the excitement in the run-up to the event.
Amanda, Manager at The Orchards Residential Home, said: “Our residents have really enjoyed helping us get ready for the Wroughton Scarecrow Trail. There has been so much laughter along the way, especially when some of the team got involved for a photo and we joked that we weren’t quite sure who the scarecrow was.
“Events like this mean a great deal to our residents. They help us stay connected with the local community, give everyone something fun to look forward to, and create wonderful moments of conversation and joy in the home.”
The Orchards Residential Home is looking forward to welcoming visitors who are following the trail and hopes its scarecrow will bring a smile to plenty of faces.
