On Saturday, 6th May, Blackwater Mill Residential Home invited loved ones to celebrate the Coronation of HM King Charles III. The home was adorned with vibrant decorations, creating a festive atmosphere in anticipation of the grand event.
Simone, the home’s beloved hairdresser, made an exceptional contribution with her beautiful decorations and tasty treats. She styled the residents’ hair, her skilled work helping them feel confident and empowered. “The smiley, happy faces of our residents is the best reward,” said Simone, highlighting the importance of making residents feel their best.
A special mention goes to the wonderful kitchen team and Head Chef Marius for creating an exquisite and delicious buffet. The stunning display was a highlight of the celebration and added to the festive atmosphere.
“We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated staff who went above and beyond to bring the magic and excitement of the Coronation to life,” said Sarah Deputy Manager. “The day was filled with a range of Coronation-themed activities, including watching the coronation, cake decorating, flag waving, and reminiscing about the past by looking through old daily mails and newspaper articles from the Queen’s Coronation.”
At Blackwater Mill Residential Home, we are fortunate to have such a committed team and a wonderful community of residents. We are proud to have celebrated this historic event together, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.
