This Easter, Blackwater Mill Residential Home on the Isle of Wight was showered with blessings and gifts, starting with heartfelt donations from the local community. A special thank you goes to Macie and Dana for generously donating lovely Easter eggs for the residents, who were immensely grateful for the gesture.
The home was beautifully decorated by the dedicated staff and residents, with a particular highlight being the exquisitely adorned hairdressing salon by Simone. The Easter weekend featured an exciting Easter egg hunt in the home’s lovely landscaped gardens, where staff, residents, and family members gathered together to participate in various Easter activities.
The celebrations continued with a scrumptious Easter afternoon tea prepared by the home’s talented chef. A big thank you to Mariusz and his kitchen team for creating such a delightful Easter-themed tea party, which was enjoyed by everyone after a busy day of hunting for eggs.
The Easter festivities didn’t stop there, as the Newport care home welcomed the talented Sarah Jane Buckley, ex-Hollyoaks, who entertained the residents with her captivating singing. The performance brought everyone together, with residents, staff, and family members dancing and singing in a joyful, unified celebration.
Blackwater Mill Residential Home’s Easter celebration showcased the power of community support and the importance of creating lasting memories through shared experiences during special occasions like this.
