There was a lovely buzz around Brunswick House Nursing & Residential Home this week as the team welcomed a new volunteer to their growing community.

Morgan joined the home for her first afternoon on site, spending time getting to know residents and settling into life at Brunswick House — and it didn’t take long for friendships to begin forming.

Rose and Morgan enjoyed a gentle trip down memory lane together, browsing through the Memory Lane newspaper and sharing stories sparked by the pages. There were plenty of smiles, familiar memories and meaningful conversation along the way.

Phyllis also enjoyed a one-to-one catch-up with Morgan and later shared just how much she’d valued their chat. The afternoon included a visit to Jen’s room too, ensuring everyone had the chance for a proper introduction and a warm hello.

Morgan will now be joining the home every Friday to support the activities programme, bringing an extra pair of helping hands — and, just as importantly, a friendly set of ears.
