Brunswick House Nursing & Residential Home was filled with energy and conversation this week as students from Ribston Hall High School joined residents for their regular weekly visit.
The afternoon focused on getting to know one another, and the lounge was soon buzzing with stories, laughter and shared experiences. Residents spoke fondly about their own school days, while students shared their ambitions and plans for the future.
The intergenerational sessions have quickly become a highlight in the home’s activity calendar, offering meaningful connection across the generations. Despite the age gap, residents and students discovered just how much they have in common.
The manager for Brunswick House said:
“It’s wonderful to see the friendships forming between our residents and the students. These visits bring so much life into the home and create moments that are special for everyone involved. We’re incredibly grateful to the Ribston students for their kindness and enthusiasm.”
Brunswick House Nursing & Residential Home remains committed to creating opportunities that foster community links and enrich residents’ daily lives.
