Hartwell Lodge Hosts a Roaringly Successful Coffee Morning, Raising £110 for Macmillan Cancer Support

Hartwell Lodge proudly hosted a delightful coffee morning today in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, raising an impressive £110 for the cause. The event saw staff, residents, and guests come together to enjoy a morning filled with delicious homemade treats, laughter, and good company, all while contributing to a worthy charity.

“We are thrilled by the generosity of everyone who participated,” said Jennifer, the Home Manager. “It was heartwarming to see so many people come together, even those who couldn’t attend but still made donations. Every bit of support makes a difference, and we’re grateful to have played our part in helping Macmillan.”

The event featured a mouth-watering array of homemade cakes, including three Victoria sponges, lemon drizzle cake, two coffee and walnut cakes, mini rolls, 18 cupcakes, and a delicious raspberry coconut cake. The baked goods didn’t last long, as guests were quick to make short work of the sweet selection. With the hashtag #cakeislife trending among the attendees, it was clear that the community was just as passionate about cake as they were about supporting a good cause.

The coffee morning was a fun-filled hour spent in the best way possible – connecting with friends and supporting those affected by cancer.

Hartwell Lodge would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came, donated, and baked for this fantastic event. Your generosity is truly appreciated.
