Hartwell Lodge Residents Take a Virtual Trip to Buckingham Palace with the Royal Collection Trust

Hartwell Lodge residents recently enjoyed an extraordinary cultural experience, stepping into the grandeur of Buckingham Palace from the comfort of their own home. This virtual session, hosted by the Royal Collection Trust and led by the knowledgeable Catherine, offered an interactive journey through one of Britain’s most treasured landmarks, sparking wonderful memories and lively discussions.

During the session, Catherine shared captivating insights into the Palace’s architectural beauty, ceremonial traditions, and glimpses of royal life within its walls. Residents were delighted by the details, finding connections to their own experiences and reflections on British heritage. For many, the stories behind Buckingham Palace’s history and art brought back memories that made the event even more special.

To cap off the royal tour, residents gathered for a patriotic tea, complete with traditional scones – a touch that added warmth and familiarity to the day. The event brought everyone together in shared celebration, with smiles, stories, and a few raised teacups.
Following the success of this session, Hartwell Lodge is already in the works to book another virtual event with the Royal Collection Trust, this time to explore the rich history of Windsor Castle. The excitement is already building among residents, who are eager to dive into another chapter of Britain’s royal past.

“It’s wonderful to bring these enriching cultural experiences directly to our residents,” said Jennifer Daly, Home Manager at Hartwell Lodge. “It means so much to see them engaged, sharing memories, and forming connections over something as unique as a virtual tour of Buckingham Palace.”
