Kalipso the Miniature Shetland Brings Delight to Hartwell Lodge Residents

The morning at Hartwell Lodge was filled with excitement and joy as residents welcomed a very special guest – Kalipso, the miniature Shetland pony. This charming little horse brought smiles, laughter, and a wonderful sense of companionship to everyone he met.
Kalipso, with his shiny coat and gentle demeanour, instantly won the hearts of our residents. They had the delightful opportunity to brush him and feed him some of his favourite treats – crunchy apples and sweet carrots. It was a heartwarming sight to see the connections formed between Kalipso and our residents, creating memories that will be cherished for a long time.

“Hartwell Lodge is all about creating beautiful moments and unforgettable experiences,” said Jennifer, Manager at Hartwell Lodge. “Kalipso’s visit today was a perfect example of how we strive to enrich the lives of our residents. Seeing the joy on their faces was truly priceless.”

The visit was more than just a chance to meet a friendly pony; it was an experience that highlighted the importance of interaction and engagement in our residents’ lives. Such activities are part of Hartwell Lodge’s ongoing commitment to providing a vibrant and fulfilling environment for everyone.

As residents brushed Kalipso and fed him his favourite treats, conversations flowed, and stories were shared, making it a memorable day for all. These moments of joy are what make Hartwell Lodge a place where life is celebrated every day.
“We make such wonderful memories here at Hartwell,” said one resident, smiling as she reminisced about her time with Kalipso. “He was so beautiful, and spending time with him was a real treat.”

Hartwell Lodge continues to seek out unique and meaningful activities that bring happiness and a sense of community to its residents. The visit from Kalipso is just one of the many ways we show our dedication to enhancing the quality of life for everyone in our care.
