Residents enjoy alpaca visit at Mulberry House

Residents at Mulberry House had a wonderful time last week when they welcomed some very special four-legged visitors to the home.

The much-loved alpaca visit brought plenty of smiles, laughter and gentle moments, as residents spent time meeting, stroking and chatting to the incredibly sweet animals.

Animal visits are always popular at Mulberry House, offering residents the chance to enjoy companionship, sensory interaction and a lovely change to the usual weekly routine. The alpacas were calm, friendly and very happy to receive lots of attention from their new admirers.

Home Manager Helen said: “Our residents had the absolute best time welcoming these incredibly sweet alpacas to Mulberry House. They were so gentle and soft, and it was lovely to see how much joy they brought to everyone.

“There’s something very special about animal therapy. It can spark memories, encourage conversation and simply brighten the day. The smiles around the home said it all.”

The visit was enjoyed by residents and team members alike, with many commenting on how peaceful and uplifting it felt to spend time with the animals.

Helen added: “At Mulberry House, we love creating moments that feel meaningful, fun and a little bit different. This was one of those days everyone will remember for all the right reasons.”
