Residents at The Orchards are looking forward to welcoming some very special visitors to the garden this summer—of the feathered variety.
This week, new bird baths were installed in the home’s outdoor spaces, ready to bring a little extra joy and gentle birdsong to the day. Carefully chosen for their style and easy access for wildlife, the bird baths are already catching the eye—and not just of the blackbirds and robins!
“We love our garden here at The Orchards,” said Home Manager Jennifer Daly. “It’s a real hub of calm and connection. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet cuppa or tending to the flowers, the new bird baths add another reason to spend time outdoors. Watching the birds come and go is simple, soothing, and really quite magical.”
The new additions are part of The Orchards’ continued focus on making the garden a sensory-rich, calming place to enjoy across the seasons. Staff and residents alike are already noticing the garden feels even more alive—and there’s been talk of naming some of the regular bird visitors.
The team hopes the bird baths will provide both a little sanctuary for nature and moments of joy for everyone who visits the garden—because it’s the little things that often make the biggest difference.
