Residents, families, and friends came together at Westbank Care Home this week for the home’s much-loved annual Harvest Service — a joyful celebration of gratitude, community, and togetherness.
The event was led by home chaplain Derek, whose uplifting service encouraged everyone to pause and reflect on the blessings of the season. The atmosphere was filled with music, memories, and heartfelt moments as residents shared stories of harvests past and enjoyed singing traditional hymns together.
Westbank was also delighted to welcome members of the St Mary’s Community Group, whose ongoing support and involvement continue to mean so much to residents and staff alike.
“Our Harvest Service is always a highlight of the year. It’s a time for reflection, connection, and gratitude — and seeing our residents surrounded by family, friends, and familiar faces from the local community is what makes it so special.”
The celebration rounded off with plenty of smiles and laughter over tea, cake, and conversation — a true reminder of the importance of community and the simple joy of being together.
