Residents from Inglefield Nursing & Residential Home in Totland Bay, Isle of Wight, enjoyed a lovely day out at Tapnell Farm, filled with fresh air, friendly animals, sunshine and, of course, cake.
The Buckland Care home organised the trip to give residents the chance to enjoy time outdoors, meet some of the farm’s goats, sheep and other animals, and share a relaxed afternoon together away from the home.
There were plenty of smiles throughout the day, with residents enjoying the chance to get close to the animals and watch them playing. A few firm favourites were quickly chosen, with some residents joking that they would have happily taken one or two home with them.
After exploring the farm, the group rounded off the afternoon with hot drinks and a slice of cake, giving everyone time to relax, chat and reflect on the day.

The home also thanked the team at Tapnell Farm for their warm welcome, as well as the Inglefield staff who helped make the trip safe, relaxed and enjoyable for everyone involved.
