A Roaring Good Time: Ingelfield Care Home Visits the Zoo for International Tiger Day

At Ingelfield Care Home, excitement buzzed in the air like never before. The residents had been looking forward to this day for weeks, and it had finally arrived—International Tiger Day! The sun shone brightly, promising a perfect day for their much-anticipated trip to the local zoo.

As the bus made its way through the countryside, the chatter was filled with memories of childhood visits to the zoo and dreams of seeing the majestic tigers up close.

Upon arrival, the group was greeted by a cheerful zookeeper,  who welcomed them with open arms. “We’ve got a special treat for you today,” she announced. “Our tigers, Rajah and Sita, are particularly playful this morning.”

The residents made their way through the lush paths of the zoo. They paused to admire the playful antics of the monkeys and the graceful glide of the swans on the pond. But it was the tigers that everyone was most excited to see.

The visit was topped off with a special picnic near the tiger enclosure, where the residents enjoyed sandwiches, fresh fruit, and, of course, tiger-themed cupcakes. Laughter and conversation flowed freely as they shared their favourite moments of the day.

As the sun began to set and it was time to head back to Ingelfield, the residents gathered for a group photo in front of the tiger mural.

And with that, the residents of Ingelfield Care Home returned to their cosy abode, hearts full and spirits lifted, already dreaming of their next adventure.
