Residents at Kingland House Care Home had a special treat today as they welcomed some very woolly visitors—alpacas! The friendly animals brought joy and excitement as residents had the chance to meet, stroke, and say hello to these gentle creatures, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
The visit was part of Kingland House’s commitment to organising unique and engaging activities that bring happiness and connection to their residents. The alpacas’ calm and curious nature made them the perfect guests, offering comfort and plenty of smiles throughout their stay.
“I never thought I’d have the chance to meet an alpaca! They were so soft and gentle—it made my day. It’s wonderful to have something different to look forward to.” said one resident.
Another resident, added, “They looked so elegant and curious. I loved giving them a little stroke and just being close to them. It’s not every day you get to meet an alpaca!”
Home Manager Tracy, shared, “Bringing animals into the home always creates such a buzz. The alpacas were a huge hit, and it’s lovely to see how much joy they brought to our residents. Activities like this are all about creating special moments and giving our residents something to smile about.”
The visit is one of many unique activities offered at Kingland House, where the team is dedicated to enriching the lives of their residents through meaningful and memorable experiences.
