Kingland House Residential Home in Poole has thanked residents, families, team members and local people for their kind support after hosting a community fundraising event for The Friends of Dolphin.
The event saw people come together to donate cakes, enjoy music, make contributions and support the much-loved local charity, which provides free boat trips around Poole Harbour for disabled people. The Friends of Dolphin is run by volunteers and relies on donations to continue offering its accessible trips.
The afternoon had a cheerful atmosphere, with cakes available to buy and live singing and music from Jewel Harmonies, who helped draw in people passing by and encouraged the local community to get involved.
Some supporters also made direct donations online, helping to boost the total raised for the charity.
Tracy, the home manager for Kingland House Residential Home said: “We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along, donated cakes, gave money or supported the event in any way.
“It was lovely to see so many people from the local community joining us for such a good cause. The Friends of Dolphin does wonderful work, giving disabled people the chance to enjoy free, accessible boat trips around Poole Harbour, and we were so pleased to support them.
“We are also very grateful to Jewel Harmonies for providing such beautiful singing and music. They brought a real sense of joy to the day and helped make the event feel extra special.”
Kingland House Residential Home regularly supports local community events and charities, helping residents stay connected with the wider Poole community
