Residents from Kingland House Care Home enjoyed a wonderful day out on the water, taking their first boat trip around the harbour with the support of the Friends of Dolphin charity.
The trip gave residents the chance to relax, take in the beautiful views and enjoy a gentle cruise around the islands. During the journey, a tour guide shared interesting stories and information about the local area, while residents enjoyed drinks and snacks on board.
Before setting sail, the team and residents were also delighted to present the boat crew with a donation of £150, which had been raised through a front-of-house bake sale at Kingland House.
The outing was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who took part, with plenty of smiles, laughter and happy memories made along the way.
Tracy, the homes manager for Kingland House said: “It was such a lovely experience for our residents. Being out on the water, enjoying the fresh air and seeing the harbour from a different view was really special. We are so grateful to Friends of Dolphin for making the trip possible and to everyone who supported our bake sale. It meant a lot to be able to give something back.”
The team at Kingland House would like to thank Friends of Dolphin and everyone involved in making the day such a memorable one for residents.
