Residents and team members at Kingland House Residential Home have marked a moment in history by creating and sealing a special Time Capsule filled with memories and keepsakes from 2025.
The capsule, designed to be opened 10 years from now, has been carefully packed with newspapers, photographs, letters, and personal mementos chosen by residents. Each item tells a story of life today, preserving the voices, experiences, and moments that matter most.
The project sparked plenty of conversation and reflection within the home, with residents sharing memories from their own past and imagining how future generations will view the keepsakes.
Home Manager Tracy said:
“This has been such a meaningful activity for everyone at Kingland House. Our residents really enjoyed choosing what to include, and it gave us all the chance to reflect on both the past and present. We hope that when the capsule is opened in the future, it brings the same sense of connection and joy to others as it did to us today.”
The sealing of the Time Capsule brought residents, staff, and families together, creating a lasting legacy of stories and experiences that will be treasured for years to come.
