Heather, a valued member of the team at Kingland House Residential Care Home in Poole, has taken on a meaningful challenge this May: a sponsored walk in aid of the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
Throughout the month, Heather has been clocking up her steps and raising vital funds for a cause that’s particularly close to the hearts of many at Kingland House. The BHF not only funds groundbreaking research into heart conditions but also supports studies into the connection between heart health and dementia—something the team feels passionate about given the nature of their work supporting older people.
“We’re all incredibly proud of Heather,” said a spokesperson for Kingland House. “She’s shown real dedication, walking every day throughout May—rain or shine—to raise awareness and money for such an important cause. It’s inspiring to see her championing heart and brain health, which are so closely linked.”
Kingland House, part of the Buckland Care Group, prides itself on supporting not just residents and their families, but also the wider community. Heather’s efforts are just one example of the home’s caring ethos in action.
The team has been following Heather’s progress with enthusiasm and will be sharing updates across their social media channels. Supporters can still donate via [insert fundraising link if available] or follow Kingland House on Facebook to cheer Heather on.
