Mulberry House Achieves GOOD in All Areas at CQC Inspection

We are extremely pleased to announce that Mulberry House Residential Home in Bovey Tracey has achieved a GOOD in all areas in their latest CQC inspection. The Care Quality Commission inspect homes based on 5 key areas – Caring, Safe, Responsive, Effective & Well Led. We are extremely proud of our staff who have worked so hard to achieve this. We are also very thankful for our residents and the families of our residents who have been extremely supportive along the way.

The Care Quality Commission highlighted the kindness and friendliness of staff as well as the variety of leisure and social activities. The inspector stated that, “without exception all the people and relatives we spoke with praised the home”. There was excellent feedback from residents and family members, who described the home as “first class” and said they “couldn’t find fault”. The staff were also commended by relatives, one saying, “The level of care is very, very good. All the staff are really happy and check on dad often.”

The manager, Sandra, is delighted with the result and said, “everyone at Mulberry House is passionate about working with older people.  It is rewarding enough to see the difference we make to our residents’ lives but to be recognised by CQC is fantastic.” Mulberry House is currently welcoming enquiries for both respite and permanent stays.
