Mulberry House is delighted to announce the hosting of a quaint Christmas Fayre on Saturday, 25th November, from 1pm. This festive event promises to be a cheerful celebration, marking the start of the Christmas season in our community.
The fete will feature a delightful array of stalls, showcasing the talents of local artists and artisans. Visitors can expect to find a treasure trove of homemade gifts, festive Christmas baubles, aromatic homemade soaps, and handcrafted candles. Additionally, there will be a lucky-unlucky dip and a traditional tombola to add to the excitement.
Stallholders from within and around the Bovey Tracey community are enthusiastically contributing to this festive gathering. Notably, the event is also supported by various local businesses, including Mare & Foul Sanctuary, Spin A Yarn, BFG Pizza & Kebabs, Bovey Larder, and many others.
The Christmas Fete is more than just a celebration; it’s a heartfelt initiative to raise funds for the residents of Mulberry House. The small fee of £5 for hosting a stall goes directly into the residents’ funds, which will be used for future outings and activities.
Helen Hulme, Home Manager said “We’re anticipating a day filled with festive fun and community spirit. Alongside the stalls, light refreshments and homemade mince pies will be available, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all. It will be an afternoon of festive fun and a lovely start to the build-up to Christmas in our home.”
Resident Diana is equally excited, “I’ll be asking my family to come for the afternoon and hopefully get them to spend some money on the crafts being sold. It’s a wonderful way to bring everyone together.”
