Mulberry House Opens Its Doors For Grand Opening Party

On 19th July Mulberry House Residential Home, Bovey Tracey, opened its doors after major renovations and refurbishment. Thank you to everyone who came down to the Grand Opening Party. We had many visitors including Avril Kerswell, ex-Mayor and now chairman of Teignbridge District Council, current mayor Janet Blair and local artist Becky Bettesworth. Lady Mayor Janet Blair helped to plant the Mulberry Tree to commemorate the opening day.

Directors of Buckland Care said, “Our amazing team has been working tremendously hard over the last six months. We have been overwhelmed by the strong sense of community spirit in Bovey Tracey and have had so many supportive messages which have motivated us hugely along the way. Our vision was to go beyond the preconceived idea of a care home and to create a home for our residents that has the look and feel of a country house hotel.”

The sun was shining down on the party where there was a BBQ, a jazz band and later, afternoon tea. Tours were led all throughout the day around the 42 bedded residential care home and everyone had the opportunity to speak to the new manager, Jean Simpson.

Buckland Care, a family-run company of 12 nursing & residential homes across the south of England, took over the care home after it sadly had to close 6 months ago.

For room enquiries please contact manager Jean Simpson on 01626 833246 or at mulberryhouse@bucklandcare.co.uk.
