Sweet Thanks for Kingland House Team After Family’s Thoughtful Gesture

There was an extra sprinkle of sweetness at Kingland House Residential Home this week, as the team were surprised with a beautiful cake, a heartfelt card and a stunning hand-painted picture from the family of a much-loved resident.

The thoughtful gifts were given as a thank you to staff for the care and compassion shown during their loved one’s stay at the home.

The cake didn’t last long — it was enjoyed (very enthusiastically!) by the team — and the hand-painted artwork is now waiting for the perfect spot on the wall, where it will serve as a lasting reminder of the relationships built within the home.

Home Manager at Kingland House said:

“It truly means the world to us when families take the time to share their appreciation. Caring for someone’s loved one is a responsibility we never take lightly. Knowing we made a difference brings the whole team such comfort and pride.”

At Kingland House, care is personal. The team takes time to understand each resident’s story, routines, and what matters most to them and their families. It’s those everyday moments — the chats, the reassurance, the small acts of kindness — that often stay with families long after their loved one’s time at the home.

Gestures like this are a reminder of why the team do what they do.

“It is a privilege to care for your loved ones,” the team shared. “We’re proud to support every resident and family with warmth, dignity and genuine compassion.”
