There were wagging tails and plenty of smiles at Inglefield recently, as residents enjoyed a heartwarming visit from Cooper the therapy dog.
Cooper, a volunteer with Pets As Therapy, spent the afternoon doing what he does best — bringing comfort, calm and companionship to everyone he met. His visit created a lovely atmosphere around the home, with residents enjoying gentle cuddles, friendly head nudges and the simple joy that animals can bring.
Visits like these can have a wonderful effect, helping to lift spirits, spark conversation and create a sense of calm and connection. For many residents, spending time with a therapy dog can also bring back happy memories of pets they have loved over the years.
Charlotte, home manager for Inglefield said:
“It was a pleasure to welcome Cooper into the home. He brought such a lovely energy with him, and it was clear to see how much residents enjoyed spending time with him. Animal visits like this can make such a difference, bringing comfort, smiles and a real sense of warmth.”
The team at Inglefield were delighted to see the positive impact Cooper had across the home and are already looking forward to welcoming him back for another visit.
A big thank you was shared with Cooper and his handler for giving their time and helping create such a special afternoon for residents.
