West Bank Residential Home has marked the start of spring with the launch of its much-loved Buckland in Bloom project, bringing residents, families and team members together for a day filled with colour, creativity and connection.
The first day of the initiative saw residents joined by their families to plant a vibrant display using recycled Wellington boots, alongside refreshing the home’s raised garden beds. The activity not only brightened the outdoor spaces but created a shared moment of laughter, teamwork and togetherness.
There was a real sense of something beginning — not just the planting of flowers, but the start of a week designed to bring people together and celebrate the simple joy of being outdoors.
Activities lady, Kay, for West Bank Residential Home said:
“It was such a lovely way to begin Buckland in Bloom. Seeing residents and their families working side by side, sharing stories and enjoying the fresh air, is what it’s all about. These are the moments that stay with people.”
The Buckland in Bloom project will continue throughout the week, with more activities planned to encourage residents to get involved, connect with others and enjoy the changing season.
West Bank Residential Home has extended its thanks to all the families who took part in the first day, helping to make it such a special and memorable start.
