Residents and staff at Willow Bank were treated to an unforgettable festive performance as North East Productions brought their lively rendition of A Christmas Carol to our home. The much-loved panto is part of the group’s holiday tour, running from November 28th to December 23rd, and it made a heartwarming stop at Willow Bank this week.
The show took us on the infamous Scrooge’s transformative journey as he encountered the iconic Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. With heartwarming moments featuring Cratchit and Tiny Tim, cheers for Charles Dickens, and laugh-out-loud antics courtesy of the Ghost of Christmas Present, the production delivered festive joy in abundance.
Our staff weren’t just spectators — there were plenty of roles waiting for us, too! The interactive nature of the panto meant everyone felt part of the magic, from the residents to the care team. As a special treat, the talented cast led the audience in a spirited sing-along, filling the room with music, laughter, and festive cheer.
“This was such a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season,” said Carole, the home manager “Seeing the smiles, the laughter, and the way our residents joined in with the performance was truly heartwarming. We’re so grateful to North East Productions for bringing their panto to us and creating such special memories for everyone.”
With high energy, engaging performances, and plenty of interactive moments, A Christmas Carol was a fantastic festive treat that captured the spirit of the season and brought our Willow Bank community together.
