Kingland House Care Home in Poole, is delighted to announce the official certification of our wildlife-friendly space through the Dorset Wildlife Trust. This new initiative aligns with our commitment to creating a vibrant, nurturing environment for both our residents and local wildlife.
Our garden and entrance now serve as a haven for bees and other pollinators, contributing to the vital ecosystem and enhancing the natural beauty of our surroundings. This project would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of our very own Nicky, whose passion and hard work have transformed our outdoor spaces into thriving habitats.
“We’re incredibly proud of this achievement,” said Tracy, Home Manager at Kingland House. “Creating a space that supports wildlife not only benefits the environment but also enriches the lives of our residents, offering them a beautiful and tranquil place to enjoy.”
The certification from the Dorset Wildlife Trust is a testament to our ongoing efforts to promote sustainability and environmental stewardship. By providing a sanctuary for bees, we’re helping to ensure the health and prosperity of our local ecosystem. This initiative also offers educational opportunities for our residents, who can now engage more deeply with nature and learn about the importance of biodiversity.
Our residents have already begun to notice the increased activity in our gardens, with bees busily pollinating flowers and adding a cheerful buzz to our home. It’s a joy to see the smiles on their faces as they watch nature at work, knowing that we’re playing a part in preserving these vital pollinators.
A huge thank you to Nicky for her tireless efforts in keeping our garden and entrance looking beautiful. Her dedication and green thumb have made Kingland House a more vibrant and welcoming place for everyone.
