Willow Bank Residential Home in Pershore was proud to support the local community this week by hosting a Dementia Awareness Talk for the members of the Women’s Union at St Andrew’s Church.
The session, led by Paul Chambers, Dementia and Wellbeing Lead at Willow Bank, offered an engaging and informative discussion about understanding dementia and supporting those living with the condition.
Paul was deeply touched by the warm welcome received from the group. The attendees were highly engaged throughout the afternoon, asking thoughtful questions and sharing personal reflections that made the event both lively and meaningful.
Paul said:
“It was a real privilege to meet such an inspiring group of women. Their enthusiasm and genuine care for learning more about dementia made the session incredibly special. We’re very grateful to Susan and her dedicated team for the kind invitation and their flawless organisation.”
The team at Willow Bank, part of the Buckland Care group, have many years of experience supporting individuals living with dementia and their families. The home places strong emphasis on education and community involvement, believing that awareness and understanding are key to improving quality of life.
Willow Bank extends its sincere thanks to everyone at St Andrew’s Church for their hospitality and commitment to raising awareness of dementia in the local community.
