A Lovely Visit from the Alpacas at Kingland House

Residents and staff at Kingland House were treated to a wonderful mid-week surprise on Wednesday when a pair of friendly alpacas came to visit the home.
The visit created a real buzz of excitement, with residents gathering to meet, stroke, and spend time with the gentle animals. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and curious chats as the alpacas made their way around the home, stopping for photos and a fuss wherever they went.
Animal visits are always a much-loved part of life at Kingland House, and Wednesday’s experience was no exception. The calming nature of the alpacas brought a lovely sense of warmth and connection, and residents have been talking about it ever since.
Home Manager Tracy shared how meaningful the visit was for everyone, saying:
“Moments like this light up the whole home. You could feel the excitement the minute the alpacas arrived, and the joy on our residents’ faces said it all. We’re always looking for ways to bring laughter, comfort, and a bit of magic into the day — and this visit did exactly that.”
Kingland House extends heartfelt thanks to the handlers for bringing such a special experience to the home and for making the afternoon so relaxed and enjoyable.
It was a memorable visit that lifted spirits and added something truly special to the week.
