Fladbury Flowers and Local Community Bring Joy and Love to Willow Bank Residents on Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is a special occasion to share love and affection. This year, Willow Bank Residential Home, in partnership with Fladbury Flowers in Pershore, invited members of the community to send a single rose to the residents who have no family or loved ones. The response from the community was heart-warming and exceeded all expectations.

The home’s residents, many of whom are living with dementia, have few visitors and will not receive flowers on Valentine’s Day. A gesture of a single rose can make a big difference to their day and bring joy and happiness to their hearts.

Fladbury Flowers is a renowned local florist known for their beautiful flower arrangements and exceptional customer service. The partnership between Fladbury Flowers and Willow Bank Residential Home was a perfect match to spread love and joy on Valentine’s Day.

The community’s response was outstanding, and 61 single long-stemmed roses were donated. Merstow Green funeral directors also came forward and offered to donate any roses the home was short of, to ensure that no resident would go without. The delivery person was moved to tears, and the care home staff were also extremely touched by the gesture. The home plans to continue this heart-warming initiative next year.

“We are grateful for the overwhelming response from the community, and we thank Fladbury Flowers and Merstow Green funeral directors for their generosity and kindness. The partnership between Fladbury Flowers and Willow Bank Residential Home has shown the power of small gestures of love and kindness that can make a significant difference in someone’s life,” said Carole home manager of Willow Bank Residential Home.
