Last month, Hartwell Lodge Residential Home in Fareham hosted a special visit from a group of beautiful 13-week-old baby Dwarf Pygmy goats, who brought joy and excitement to the home’s residents and staff.
The goats were accompanied by Emma from Ems Friendly Farm, who shared her knowledge about these fascinating animals with the residents. The interaction between the goats and residents was touching to witness, as the friendly and playful goats created a memorable experience for everyone.
“We were thrilled to welcome the baby goats to our home,” said Jennifer Daly, home manager at Hartwell Lodge. “It was heartwarming to see the joy and positivity that they brought to our residents.”
A survey conducted after the visit revealed overwhelmingly positive feedback from the residents, who expressed their love for the animals and the positive impact they had on their well-being.
The baby goat visit highlights the benefits of animal-assisted therapy for residents in care homes, providing not only an engaging activity but also a sense of companionship and well-being.
Hartwell Lodge Residential Home extends its gratitude to Emma and Ems Friendly Farm for bringing the baby goats for a visit, creating a delightful experience for all involved.
