Kingland Care Home Donates Surplus Blankets to Local Homeless Charity

Kingland Care Home in Poole has donated a bundle of surplus blankets to local homeless charity Routes to Roots, supporting people experiencing homelessness in the community.

After having a thorough sort through their bedding, the team at Kingland realised they had more blankets than they needed—and wanted to make sure they went somewhere they’d be truly useful. Tracy from Routes to Roots visited the home this week to collect the donation.

“We know how important warmth and comfort can be, especially for those going through tough times,” said a member of the Kingland team. “It felt only right to pass these on to help others in our community.”

Buckland Care, which Kingland is part of, encourages its homes to take part in acts of kindness and local outreach—and this simple gesture was one more way of showing care from the heart.

The team hope the blankets bring a little extra warmth to those who need it most.
