In a delightful display of community spirit and generosity, Kingland House Care Home hosted its much-anticipated “Time for a Cuppa” event, benefiting Dementia UK. Thanks to the wonderful turnout and the heartfelt contributions of residents, their families, and the local community, the event has successfully raised £81 to date, with donations continuing to pour in until Friday.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support shown by everyone who came along to enjoy a cuppa with us,” said Tracy, Manager of the home “It was a joy to see so many smiling faces, and the kindness displayed through each donation and the hands that helped make the day special truly warms our hearts.”
The afternoon was filled with laughter, friendly conversations, and, of course, plenty of delicious homemade cakes, all brought in by attendees eager to support this noble cause. The staff at Kingland House went above and beyond to organise a welcoming and festive environment, ensuring that everyone had a wonderful time.
For those who could not attend but still wish to contribute to this worthy cause, Kingland House reminds that donations will be accepted until Friday. Every penny raised will aid Dementia UK in their mission to provide much-needed support and care to families affected by dementia.
“We hope our event has not only raised funds but also awareness about the invaluable work Dementia UK does for families nationwide. It’s a reminder of the power of community and the difference we can make when we come together,” added Tracy.
Kingland House Care Home extends its deepest thanks to all who participated and contributed to the success of the “Time for a Cuppa” event. Your generosity and spirit are what make events like these a success. We look forward to welcoming you to many more events in the future.
