This Valentine’s Day, Westbank Residential Home is taking part in a nationwide act of kindness — and inviting members of the public to be part of something truly special.
The home is calling on kind-hearted people from across the UK to send Valentine’s cards to its residents, helping to spread connection, warmth, and a little love through the post.
Residents are already looking forward to receiving the cards and will be reading every single one. Even more special, they’ll also be writing replies, turning the initiative into a heartfelt card exchange that brings joy to both sides.
For many residents, a simple card can mean far more than people realise. It’s a reminder that they’re thought of, valued, and connected to the wider world beyond the home’s doors.
Judy, the home manager at Westbank Residential Home said:
“Something as small as a Valentine’s card can completely change someone’s day. Our residents are so excited — not just to receive cards, but to reply and share a little kindness of their own.”
